A 10-minute requirements survey for descendants of enslaved Africans

As part of my Software Architecture course at the University of St. Thomas, I need to come up with a few candidate software architectures for a real world problem. Based on my family’s experiences with attempting to find our African ancestors, I thought that this would be an interesting problem to tackle.

As part of this analysis, I need to get the input of stakeholders. I could certainly create some stakeholder requirements based on my experience, but I thought this would be a valuable opportunity to learn what other ancestors of those enslaved in the Transatlantic Slave Trade have experienced when trying to trace their roots. In addition, I’d like to gather your opinions on some of my early thoughts on how such a software system might work.
